New - Exciting Reading Resources
READING BOOKS : PINK BAND TO LIME BAND
Dear parents,
We are delighted to be able to share with you a huge range of new free guided reading books (many of which are the same books as your child would choose from our own school library)
If you click on this link https://connect.collins.co.uk/school/Portal.aspx your child will have access to a large number of e-books to read at home that are all organised into the same guided reading bands as at Holy Family School. All you have to do is follow these instructions:
1. Click onto teacher sign in
2. User Name: parents@harpercollins.co.uk
3. Password: Parents20!
We hope you enjoy this resource. It will really help your child to practice their reading skills. It would be great for your child to share a picture of the book they have read through the class dojo page. Just take a photograph of the book and send through messages (within class dojo)
We hope you enjoy this fabulous resource
Developing Experts is a comprehensive library of online, interactive science lessons with videos, presentations, quizzes and experiments - perfect for learning at home.
Children can enjoy ready-to-go science lessons in a program which fully maps the National Curriculum for year 3. Each part is developed by global science & education experts which help bring the learning to life. And the best part is your child can log on individually using their unique Mathletics password and their work, progress and understanding will be communicated and monitored to their teacher.

Mathletics
When you have completed the set Mathletics tasks try to complete at least 3 different Mathletics bars a day (totalling 15 per week). In your book write 'Mathletics' as a title, date it and write the headings of each activities you attempted and the score you got. If you get less than 9 out of 10, try it again in the following day or two until you get the gold bar.
Numeracy Skills checks
Have a go at these skills checks. Stage 3 is for children in Year 3. If you find these too difficult try Stage 2. Whichever you choose will help with your maths skills. The answers are here too.
