At Holy Family, we have set up a new Wellbeing Committee, made up of pupils who are ambitious in their determination to improve the wellbeing of everybody at Holy Family. We will be thinking about improving ways to keep people healthy and safe; how we can keep our minds healthy as well as our bodies and dealing with peer pressure. We feel we already do lots of things really well, such as being energetic and physically healthy and looking after each other.
Our first mission is to help people speak out about bullying. We don’t think there is a lot of bullying at our school, but we understand that sometimes people feel sad, lonely or bullied and we want to make sure they are safe and happy at Holy Family. We are getting ready for anti-bullying week by thinking about ways we can encourage people to ‘make a noise about bullying’. Anti-bullying Week is just after half term, so watch this space for more information! In the meantime, make sure you speak to a safe adult – your teacher, your mum or dad, Mrs Ashby, a dinnerlady – if you feel concerned by bullying.
We want to know your views on bullying, e-safety, staying and feeling safe and wellbeing in general.
Please speak to any member of the Wellbeing Committee to let us know what’s important to you. Your thoughts could make a difference!
If you have little ones at home and are having problems with sleep at nighttime, click on the picture which will take you to Moshi - a guide to sleep regressions. Sleep is incredibly important so if you are having problems, please reach out for help.
